The Suessical

The kids were in a play this year - The Suessical.  Ava was a Who and Aidan was a Hunter and a Who.  It was a BIG commitment as the play ran from Nov 16 - Dec 16 with shows on Friday evenings and 2 on Saturday's.  Play practice started a month prior to that and was multiple days a week!  Regardless of all the time spent on the play (and away from their friends), they had a great time!  Their parts in the play included signing and dancing with the rest of the cast.  They did a GREAT job.  It was so fun to see them look around the audience for us and seeing a huge smile across their face as soon as they spotted us.  We are so proud of them for getting out in front of an audience like that!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Family Road Trip!!!!!
The kids, Roxy, Scott and I packed up and headed to "the land of gracious living" for a long Thanksgiving weekend.  The kids were so excited to see the whole fam again.  Aidan was very excited to see Adam and especially Rusty.  Ava couldn't wait to see Colton!  For Thanksgiving we did the big breakfast at moms and then the Thanksgiving feast at Aunt Kathy's.  The kids cooked again this year...one new tradition that the parents are loving!  Scott fried up our turkey and it turned out AMAZING, again!  After dinner we played dealers choice while some took naps :)  Heather had a shadow everywhere she went with Colton...Ava was obsessed.  She wanted to hold him constantly.  It was really cute.  She will be a really good big sister one day (fingers crossed!).

Love this pic!

Aidan's birthday was that Sunday so we celebrated while we were there of course.  On Friday we went mini golfing and then had a b-day party for him at the house.  He made the nicest speech at the dinner table thanking everyone for spending his birthday with him.  It was soooo sweet!  Then Saturday we went to Medieval Times.  It was a surprise for the kids and they loved it!  Well most of it...Ava got scared during the sword fights but we reassured her that it wasn't real.  They were amazed by the show.  Unfortunately our Knight lost 1st!  boooo.  We would love to do it again sometime :)

Birthday Weekend

This year I decided I wanted to go home to Cali for my b~day weekend so I could celebrate with the whole family.  We did the usual...out to dinner, golf, and games.  I was so happy to see the little man again.  He is growing up so fast!  It was a quick weekend but we had a blast!
