Holiday Light Tour

For the second year in a row, Scott and I rented a limo to go on a holiday light tour with the kids.  It is a new tradition that I hope to carry on for a long time.  It is nice to sit back and enjoy the ride with the family while the driver takes you to all the houses on your tour.  The kids got in their cozies and brought their hot chocolate and Teddy Bear. The kids were sooo hyper at first!  They thought we were famous for the night.  We cruised around for 2 hours listening to Christmas music and going from house to house.  We saw some neat houses this year but the best was an entire block with every house decorated with tons of lights and characters.  By the end of the tour the kids were pooped and Ava was asleep.  We had some great family time though and we are certainly looking forward to next year!

Family Christmas Party

This year the family Christmas party was hosted by Jim and Linda and it was a Christmas Pajama party.  We had a blast!  It's always so nice to see everyone.  For us, we get to see the entire family only a couple of times a year because we are so far away.  So I was very happy that we could make it to the Christmas party this year.  Unfortunately, Aidan and Ava couldn't come as it was the last weekend of the Suessical they were in.  We still had so much fun partying it up in our jammies!  Thanks Aunt Linda and Uncle Jim for such a great party!

Christmas Time!!!

Once Thanksgiving is over, I can't wait to put up Christmas decorations.  I love the holiday season so much and all of the traditions that come with it.  I have so many great memories of the holidays when I was a kid - decorating the tree, Christmas Eve story, stockings first thing in the morning on Mom and Dad's bed, going to look at Christmas lights, and looking for Dad's guardian angel are a few.  Now that I am older with my own family, it is nice to do the same things to keep traditions going.

 It's finished!

A couple of new Christmas decorations this year.
Love these Santa pictures.

Our elf Peter came back again this year!
The kids LOVE Peter and write him notes all the time.
Aidan loves to chit chat with him and Ava flirts with him!
It is so cute :)
